We are seeing exact same issue mentioned in the below post after upgrading to ES 7.17.8. This issue still exists even in the ES 8.8.0. Can someone please help with the solution for this.

Hello, we are facing the same issue with ES 8.8.1. The query cache size is growing faster than the version 7.8. It reaches the maximum allowed (10% 3,1G) for a while , then the cache is not used anymore (hit =0) and the value of the cache size is unrealistic. It keep growing to a TeraByte in the _nodes stats.
