Query on elasticsearch.keystore file present in ES config directory

Hi,
I am using Elasticsearch-oss 7.8.0 in k8s environment. I want to know what is elasticsearch.keystore file present in ES Config directory(/etc/elasticsearch) which comes by default when ES rpm is installed. I saw this is getting used at bin/elasticsearch script. Since I am using oss rpm what does this keystore file contain? Can I remove it?
Having keystore file bundled with rpm is of security risk. Please help me in understanding this.
