Raid 0 with replication vs Raid 1 with no replication

Hi, I'm elasticsearch starter!

I have a curious about performance between hardware spec + elasticsearch setting.

  • HDD raid 0 set, replicas=1
  • HDD raid 1 set, replicas=0

Which is the better to use elasticsearch ? (if disk fail, speed of recover shard .. )

I'd prefer the former. "HDD raid 0 set, replicas=1".

Or use of multiple path.data without RAID 0 at all might be even better.
