You can use the JDBC input plugin for Logstash.

When I see video in https://www.elastic.co/products/logstash. It says "How do i get external data into elastic search? This is effectively what logstash" .This statement means logstash was designed keeping in mind how do we get data into Elastic Search. It might be possible to do in opposite way as well. But do you foresee any issues if we try to use Logstash in opposite way to which it was designed for?
