Refresh dashboard based on a field selection

We ingest iis logs from several environments and have a kibana dashboard, which shows different visualization covering different pieces of information. While publish the logs we publish some additional fields like the type of server, environment etc.

We are looking to have a way, where we can display a drop down, showing distinct values of environments (for which events are available during the selected timeline). Based on the value selected from drop down, we want to refresh the Dashboard to show data for that environment.

Is this possible using Kibana? Please share you inputs.

its unfortunately not possible at the moment, but we are working on such feature, and you can monitor our progress https://github.com/elastic/kibana/issues/6884
