Reload the stem override file w/o restarting ES

I have a custom stemming override file. Question is, is there any way to
reload this file w/o restarting ES? I know I would have to re-index
existing docs but still prefer to do it w/o having to restart ES.
Thanks

you can create a new index and pass the new stems via the mapping, I mean
this might make sense anyways here.
