Removed index by mistake

I have an elastic search with graylog . By mistake I removed a closed index which we needed. After I did a folder restore of /var/lib/elasticsearch/nodes/0/indices/nameofindex but I need to find a way how to enable elastic search do a re-scan and import the deleted index back into gray log.

Did you try reopening the index?

Otherwise you may want to try restarting the node and seeing if it recovers it as a dangling index.
