Is it possible to rename and index? The index API page says,
"Renaming an index is a simple remove then add operation within the
same API." But the example shown renames the alias only, not the
index, I believe. I would like to no longer be able to access the
index using it's original name. Possible?
No, there is no option to rename an index, but you can get similar notion using aliases.
