Request time out

We've been getting a fair amount of Faraday::TimeoutError (request time out) errors when using Elasticsearch lately.

I'm using the elasticsearch-rails gem. I've tried a couple of things including switching to using Typhoeus as the elasticsearch adapter and increased the default timeout to 10 seconds but we're still getting the error.

Does anyone have any advice on how to limit this error?
