I noticed that when I start Logstash with just an s3 input, it takes a super long time to do anything. I don't get any errors, and I don't see any specific logs that tell me anything like "connected to s3", but I do see that the bandwidth of my server is up and pretty steady around 5.5Mbps, so it must be doing something, even though CPU usage is down.
Does this mean it is connected to my s3 bucket and downloading... something? If so, what? The file structure? Just trying to figure out what is taking so long. It's been about an hour and a half already and it hasn't output anything yet.
