it's my first post here on this group so feel free to make me aware of the
guidelines if any.
My query is regarding the SearchType QueryAndFetch
http://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/reference/1.5/search-request-search-type.html#query-and-fetch.
As far as I understand this is not recommended for end-user use as
mentioned in the
document referred. However, this turns out to be the most performant
setting for us ( All our shards are on the same node) and this is returning
correct results as well. So both from performance and correctness stand
point I find it to be the most compelling choice.
I want to understand why exactly is it not recommended then.
