Set fielddata=true after upgrade from 6.8 to 7.12

after i upgrade from 6.8 to 7.12 my dashboard says [Set fielddata=true on fieldname]

when i try to change in template . i found . at during 6.4 to 6.8 my template got vanished.
question 1 : how can i set fielddata in indexing
2. is there a possibility to create template from existing indexes
