install on centos with jdk1.8 and es 5.1,when I enter the ./bin /elasticsearch ,just get killed ,not other logging information . Can one get the tips ,thanks
check your /var/logs/messages it is probably the OS killing the process
I don't get the file /var/logs/messages on my computes
Your going to have to provide some details of what operation system your working with as all linux systems have a /var/log/messages or something about your config, because it is not normal for it to not run .
Is there a message after you enter the command line , anything? cause the command you listed is not correct there is a space in it ./bin/elasticsearch not ./bin /elasticsearch I presume that was just a typo
