When debugging pipelines of during unexpected or expected event spikes, it can be useful to be able to temporarily pause ingestion for 1 centralized pipeline management pipeline. During this pauze, we can make changes to input data, templates, mapping, outputs, ilm policies etc..
Is there already a way to pause only 1 pipeline? if not, does it seem like a good idea to add this functionality to centralized pipeline management? A simple pause button with a date range would be awesome imho. So we can:
- Pause indefinitely..
- Pause for 5 minutes..
- Pause for 15 minutes..
- Pause for 60 minutes..
- Pause for 24 hours..
Data ingested should be dropped while the pipeline is paused.
