Stop file ingestion without stopping Logstash

Is there any way to stop particular file ingestion without stopping logstash service.

Thanks for your reply, even I remove the file which is ingesting. still files data will be in memory, so it will continue the ingestion.
Is there any way to clean the memory of particular file.

For a few seconds yes (depending on the discover interval), but hardly forever.

No.

If you explain what end goal you're trying to reach maybe we can make a suggestion.
