Hello, I am ES beginer.
While studying ES configurations, I got a question.
Is there any problem when I have too much RAM memory and too many CPU cores/threads??
The more CPU cores/threads, RAM memory, the better performance is?
Thank you.
More RAM is always good as it allows a larger file system page cache. You need to have enough CPU available to serve your load, but Elasticsearch is not always CPU limited. Depending on your use case and data volume, performance may well be limited by disk I/O and then throwing CPU at it will not help.
