Tile Map highlighting the entire country

Hi, I would like to find out how to highlight an entire country as Heatmap. I would like to have one detailed map with exact geo information from the IP address however then I would like to have an overview of which country has the most hits. From the options available I could not get this to working:

  • Scaled Circle Markers
  • Shaded Circle Markers
  • Shaded Geo Grid
  • Heatmap

In Kibana 3 this was possible as illustrated in the image below:

How can I do this in Kibana 5?

I think what you're looking for are Choropleth maps, also referred to as vector maps. Unfortunately we still haven't added them to Kibana, even in the 5.0 release. https://github.com/elastic/kibana/issues/5039 is one issue to watch, and I was pretty sure there were others, but I can't seem to find them now.

https://github.com/stormpython/vectormap but it's for 4.X.

Thank you very much for the feedback. Is there any information regarding when Vector Maps will also be available for 5?
