Type name warning

Hi,

I'm creating a type name that contains a dot in its name. ES is warning me
not to do this:

"... Type [type.name] contains a '.', it is recommended not to include it
within a type name"

Why is it recommended not to use dots? I'd like to know what kind of issues
this may cause.

Thanks,
Philippe

When using the syntax of my_type.my_field in different places (like term query as the field name, then the type will not be properly recognized).
