Typical indexing performance

(Andrew Gin) #1

Hi
I am getting to grips with elastic search, but I do not know if I should be
worried about the insert performance;

As you can see, the insert indexing rate is about 1400, but I don't know if
the load and cpu usage is cause for alarm. Is this typical or should the
load be lower?
Below is an htop screencap; the top process (31712) is the elasticsearch
process and jumps between 155-600% cpu usage.

I feel it is a bit too high for what it is doing.
