Upgrading from 5.6.6 to 6.latest - rolling upgrade or full restart?

So I ran thought https://www.elastic.co/products/upgrade_guide and it told me I need to do a full cluster restsart rather than a rolling upgrade which is also the guidance here

https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/reference/6.0/breaking-changes.html

but when I look here

https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/reference/6.0/setup-upgrade.html

it stays that for 5.6 I can do a rolling upgrade.

unclear as to what my options actually are.

It is technically possible to do a rolling upgrade from 5.6 to 6.0, with just one exception in regards to TLS.

In 6.0, TLS is not optional anymore in X-Pack Security, so if you are using X-Pack Security with TLS disabled then you are required to do a full cluster restart to 6.0 in order to enable TLS.

But if you are not using X-Pack Security or is already using it but with TLS enabled, then you can perform a rolling upgrade from 5.6 to 6.0.

That makes sense, I do have x-pack but do not have TLS currently so that will be why the hand held guide said I need to do full restart.

Many thanks for the response
