Use replace function in elasticsearch like in sql

Hi
I know about "Pattern Replace Char Filter" but Is there any conceptlike replace function in sql ?
I want to change name fileds in elasticsearch then search for my desierd name but I don;t want to save changed name in elasticsearch. For example in sql i Wrote : select * from student where replace(name,"b", "m") = searchName

Isn't that something easy to do on client side?
