Using queries to specify threshold while creating visualisation

While creating any one of the visualization for instance (Traffic plugin) we mention threshold at the time of creating the visualization.Is there any way that can be used to pass threshold values based on queries.

can you elaborate a little bit more on what exactly you're trying to achieve?

Also, if this is a question specifically about how to that use 3rd party plugin, I would ask the question there instead.

The goal is to retrieve the threshold value for plugins from an already existing index in elasticsearch by querying it
