Vector map - not showing

Hello,

I just installed "new" Kibana v6.0.1 had 6.0.0 before, on both versions, i was unable to use Region Map, on both those versions, because i can`t select Vector map.

Can someone help me, or explain how to solve this problem.

Hey @Ninoslav do you have any custom settings for map, regionmap or tilemap in your kibana.yml? Also, is the computer you're accessing Kibana on have restricted internet access?

Hi Brandon ,

I do not have any thing map related configured in my kibana.yml, reason for it is that I could only find configs that require internet access, to set up a map, and i can't do that since my computer is behind strict corporate firewall, and have limited internet access.

Is there a way to host maps localy, and point my kibana to those maps ?

@Ninoslav in that case, you'll have to host your own maps server and configure Kibana to use it. https://www.elastic.co/blog/kibana-and-a-custom-tile-server-for-nhl-data walks you through how to configure your own tile server for a completely different use-case, but it might be of help and https://openmaptiles.org/ is an open source maps server.
