Is there a way to do this. I'm reading xpack docs and it talks about using PUT to add metadata but then in Kibana/Security/Users I don't see that data. Can I see it in Kibana rather than the HTTP API?
No, there is currently no way inside Kibana to view this metadata, but it is on our list of things to add.
