We're getting ready to release Elasticsearch 0.90, the first version to use
Apache Lucene 4. But this release is not just about Lucene 4 - there are a
whole lot of goodies that are going to make your life easier, such as:
- Memory efficient facets - big improvements in field data cache
- "Did you mean" suggestions
- Rescoring and common terms query - improving relevance without
sacrificing performance - Social graph filters
- Sorting on multi-valued and nested fields
