What fields does ElasticSearch map by default?

I'm trying to create an image metadata store, and obviously a single image
can have 20 or more metadata fields.

So if I enter this document into ElasticSearch, will it index/map all those
fields? Such that I can query for every field? Or can I tell ElasticSearch
what to index or not?

Hello Albert ,

Few things here

  1. Yes , you cal tell Elasticsearch which fileds to index and which
field not to index. You can use index : " yes/no" property for each field
in the schema to specify this. -
Specify which fields are indexed in ElasticSearch - Stack Overflow
  2. There is a concept of _all in Elasticsearch. This would be a
super-set of all field values and to search on the entire document , you
can simply search on _all field. -
