To which location index templates get stored. Also, how to create only mapping template and the location to which it has to be stored. I'm currently using elasticserach 2.4.

It gets stored in the cluster, in cluster state.
So, if i have to migrate all my stuff to new cluster what is the process to transfer these templates?
How are you migrating?
We haven't planned on it. But, if i have to reuse all these templates on another cluster what should i do!
Get them from the API and then re-upload them would be easiest.
