Xpack Basic - http encryption

Hello community,

I'm trying to understand the xpack basic feature but i can not figure out if the http encryption feature with certificates belong to the xpack basic? I want to encrypt the communication when i talking to elasticsearch over REST API. I read the security section at https://www.elastic.co/subscriptions but don't know if this is a Encrypted communications or Encryption at rest support feature.

Encryption at rest means data stored on the disk.
Encrypted comms means TLS/SSL.
