Add time filter to index OR delete my index live

Hey All,

i found out that i´m created my index for my ES 6.3.2 + Kibana 6.3.2 in a wrong way.
Because i forgot to give him the time filter.
Can i edit the index afterwords now or must i delete my index and recreate it new with time filter?
If i must delete the index, can i do it in live environment without damaging my ES data?
I´m new to ES so please don´t condemn me for this questions.

Hi,

i find now a hint that pointed me in the dircetion that i can delete the index without loosing data.
So i trusted myself and deleted my index and viola, all is good and i could create a new index with time filter.

So this is solved. :flushed:
