Adding Filter to Term Aggregation in Kibana 4

Hello,

I am a lineChart in Kibana 4 where i am using Term Aggregation

on the Y Axis i am using the Metric Sum on the CPUUTIL Field

On the X Axis i am using Term Aggregation on the field Programname below are the screen shots

I would like to add a filter to this Term Aggregation "jobname= 'YGACJD89'" Is there anyway we can do this in Kibana?

Also we should be able to dynamically change the jobname when this visualization is added to a Dashboard

There are a couple of ways that you can accomplish this.

  • The easiest way is to just use the Search box at the top of the screen and type in: jobname=YGACJD89

  • Add a filter to the visualization by clicking on any data point. Then edit the filter to filter by jobname instead of programname
