[Announcement] Pre-alpha release and open-sourcing of APM

We're taking the first steps towards APM becoming a part of the Elastic Stack. :tada:

Those steps include preparing a pre-alpha release, open-sourcing some repositories, and opening this forum for discussion and feedback.

Read the announcement blogpost here:

We hope the community will take the opportunity to test it out in these early stages and we look forward to any and all feedback you may have.

Watch this space for more updates about the upcoming alpha and beta releases as well as discussions about the feedback we receive on our way there.

w00t!

Any idea when discussion about agents for .Net, Java, Ruby, etc will be happening. I think this is a great start, but we have very limited number of apps running Node and Python and a LOT running the other langs.

It's definitively a discussion that already started and we are trying to figure out the priorities. Perhaps you could open a new discuss topic and list your priorities for the agents you are interested in, so this does not get lost in the announcement thread.
