APM future pricing

Hi - I've just learned about APM, and am creating a proof-of-concept to see how it works in our work environment. First off, it's impressive, really impressive.

I know there was a previous question about the cost of APM (Elastic APM Cost), but my question is slightly different.

Is there a plan to make APM a paid/subscription based service in the future? As we investigate the use of it, cost is a factor, and I want to prevent going "all in" to find out we're going to start getting charged in 6 months and have to shut it down.

Hi,

Thank you for testing APM. We don't have any plans at the moment to change the current pricing plans for APM.

We do plan do release a cloud version of APM in elastic cloud soon, but the on premise version will remain the same.
