Hi,
It seems like elastic uses propsTypes to generate docs using react-docgen and a custom babel script for typescript components to add propsTypes to nodes.
Do the new system need to support jsx components or just support ts(x) components only?

You can plan on supporting tsx files only. We are very near to finishing the conversion of EUI to TypeScript.
