Boost any query for a specific field (numerical) based on lower-the-better

Hi,

I would like to simply boost a field (query time), based on the lower the value is the better, even if there is no range query defined for that specific numeric field. Is there any way to boost it, or score based on how low the field is? I would kindly ask the Community to provide an example for me.
