Ca Elasticsearch send Tracing data to Otel Collector?

Good day community,
We already have Otel Collector and other things in place for tracing.
I'm following this elasticsearch/TRACING.md at main · elastic/elasticsearch · GitHub
Not really sure if this is instruction still work and compatible with opentelemetry in general, the doc is quite leading to deploy APM and sending data to APM but this is not what I want since we already have Otel stack in place.

Thanks for reaching out. This guide on using OpenTelmentry, and in particular, our documentation on working with OTel with Elastic, might be a good place to start.

I'd like to hear a bit more about how you would like to receive the data without sending it to APM.
