Can esrally publish a docker cluster for testing?

Hi,

as mentioned in a different thread I want to evaluate performance differences of elasticsearch when running in docker or as native application. We want to do that before deploying as docker on production.

Is it possible to let esrally deploy elasticsearch as docker container, so that esrally has access to all metrics?

Hello Andreas,

Currently we don't have plans on adding the possibility of building and deploying Elasticsearch as a Docker container.

I'd suggest that your rely on metricbeat instead to collect all metrics on your ES machines and for the case of running ES as a container, you can utilize the Docker module of metricbeat.
