Can keystore be secured by passphrase like in logstash?

Hi,

To store credentials I use the kibana-keystore, because it is hopefully more secure than using kubernetes secrets and expose them via environment variables.

I noticed that logsash has the feature to secure the keystore by a passphrase, but I didn't find any equivalent option in kibana.

Did I just miss it or is it not available on kibana?

Hi Andreas,

This is unfortunately not supported for the Kibana keystore at this time. You can keep track of the progress and notified for when this will be available by keeping an eye on the relevant issue in the kibana repository
