Canvas "Save" Button

Been playing around with Canvas and ran into issues with saving the form. The program seems to be designed only with auto-save. I have made changes to a form and moved over to a separate machine and my changes were not present. I have closed the form only to loose my changes.
Is there any thoughts to adding a "Save" similar to the dashboards?

I played around with elements in canvas and hit save and it does save it for me ( see screenshot attached) what is the auto save option you are talking about ?

Can you please elaborate further - version, steps taken , screenshot, logs etc ?
