Canvas - Saved Visualizations Not Loading

My saved visualizations are not loading in canvas.
The method used involved using the expression editor to allow for saved lens visualizations to be loaded into Canvas, and respond to global filters.

The script used to look like this:

filters | savedLens id="5c821684-df62-4f78-80a6-613c35b71926" timerange={timerange from= {var startTime} to={var endTime}}

| render

Where the savedLens id points to the id of my visualization, and the time range fields are defined in the Variables window.

After updating to v9, the expression editor now reads:

filters

| embeddable

  config="eyJ0aW1lUmFuZ2UiOnsiZnJvbSI6eyJ0eXBlIjoiZXhwcmVzc2lvbiIsImNoYWluIjpbeyJ0eXBlIjoiZnVuY3Rpb24iLCJmdW5jdGlvbiI6InZhciIsImFyZ3VtZW50cyI6eyJfIjpbInN0YXJ0VGltZSJdfX1dfSwidG8iOnsidHlwZSI6ImV4cHJlc3Npb24iLCJjaGFpbiI6W3sidHlwZSI6ImZ1bmN0aW9uIiwiZnVuY3Rpb24iOiJ2YXIiLCJhcmd1bWVudHMiOnsiXyI6WyJlbmRUaW1lIl19fV19fSwic2F2ZWRPYmplY3RJZCI6IjFhMWI5Y2Q3LTIxYjMtNDBmNi05YWE1LTM4N2ZhZWI1OTA0YiJ9" type="lens"

| render

Using the old script does nothing, and refreshing the page brings back the new script.
Any suggestion on how to fix this? Currently on Elastic 9.3.4.

Hi @ArielC,

Can you share what the output of clicking show details is? It might have an additional error message. Please also let us know the version you upgraded from to v9.
