Hello,
The inability for timepicker to accept more basic date formats has been identified here.
In the meantime, the formats accepted under Add Filters are a little more flexible accepting simpler formats and might work better for you. See this issue for a pretty good walkthrough: How to use Date Range filter in Kibana?
