Cluster in two data centers

Hi All,
I do have an Elasticsearch cluster where some of the nodes are in an east-US datacenter (the master nodes are located here) and some of them are in a west-US datacenter.
I have requested the connections 9200 and 9300 TCP ports everrything is visible (checked with telnet), but there are some issues:

  • The East US side of the cluster is up and running
  • The West US nodes cannot see the East US nodes
  • The West US nodes cannot connect to the cluster

What firewall settings did I missed?

Elasticsearch requires low latency and good throughput between all nodes in a cluster, so it is not recommended to deploy across regions, especially not so far apart.
