Data Path per-Index Basis

Hi Elastic Community,

I'm running a three node cluster. I've defined the directory for storing indices with data.path in elasticsearch.yml. Is it possible to change the storing directory for a specific index?
Personally, I don't see the reason for this action. However, my customer is asking if it is possible and I would appreciate your answers!

No, that is not possible. You can allocate indices to specific nodes but not paths under a node.
