Date range doesn't work

Hi ,
I created a data table visualization . By changing the date range in the data table, the data in the data table doesn't change.
I want the data table to show only data that is available for That time period selected for exemple i want to use date range to display data from 2018-08-13
to 2018-12-31 . Can someone please help me with how to do this

What version of Kibana are you using ? I just spun up a 7.0 and created a data table visualization and changed the date range and clicked apply - I get the relevant results. Can you share gif/video/screenshots/versions/logs to nail it down ?
