Discovery-ec2 endpoint setting?

Hi - could someone please provide an example on how to use the "endpoint" setting in discovery-ec2?

was following this : https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/plugins/6.2/_settings.html

and trying to set us-west-2 like this but am getting an ssl connection error. My intent is to forecefully set the region to us-west-2 in the elasticsearch.yml

dicovery.ec2.endpoint: ec2.us-west-2.amazonaws.com
