Can you provide some more details please? Is there a field for the host in your data? Are you trying to convert it to an IP? Or are you referring to something else?

I want a new field that show the host IP. I need to show the hostname and the IP. The hostname is already ok. How to do it with the IP address?

Logstash's dns filter can perform DNS lookups of fields.
