Display of date ranges in x Axis is not readable in visualizations

Kibana 4.2.0
I have set up a date range visualize as a trend using 'now' as end time.
Unfortunately the X Axis date range is too large to be displayed correctly.

I am not able to find a workaround yet.
Formatting of terms does not seem to help.

Would you be able to accomplish your needs with a Date Histogram on a minute interval?
