Docker or VM which is the best option to set up production elastic cluster on single host

Hi,

Please let us know the best option to set up production cluster whether it is Docker or VM on single host.We have enough RAM around 900 TB.We have faced some difficulties in upgradation and cluster restart data loss in case of dockersin test environment.
