Documentation for connecting Vega to Elasticsearch

Greetings,

Is there any documentation for connecting Vega to ES? I have searched https://vega.github.io/vega/docs/ and https://vega.github.io/vega/examples/ but have not found any examples.

The existing examples all use hard-coded data which is not helpful. I need to graph multiple things like CDF's, PDF's and more advanced line and scatter plots than I can get in the "visualize" tab in Kibana.

Kibana rewrites your Vega configuration using a template system. You can see examples that should still work in this blog post: https://www.elastic.co/blog/custom-vega-visualizations-in-kibana
