Dear all,

Does filebeat need java?

I would like to install filebeat on every application hosts to transport logs to logstash forwarder.

So, i need to get know.

Does filebeat installation need java? Should me install java before installation of filebeat?

Filebeat is implemented in Go in order to be lightweight, so does not have any dependency on Java.
