Why filebeat hug GOLANG and give up Java?

We know that the logstash-forwarder ,the predecessor of filebeat , has two versions, one is Java and another is GOLANG , however currently the filebeat just has one GOLANG version, may I know the reasons why filebeat hug GOLANG and give up Java?

As far and I know, logstash-forwarder was always just implemented in GOLANG.

Ok, it seems the logstash-forwarder-java(https://github.com/didfet/logstash-forwarder-java) is not official version .
